Overview
ISO 7202:2018 - Fire protection - Fire extinguishing media - Powder - specifies requirements for the chemical and physical properties and minimum performance of fire extinguishing powders intended for use on fires of Classes A, B, C and D. The standard establishes test methods, manufacturer declaration requirements (a characterization statement), sampling rules and performance criteria to ensure powders sold for firefighting have a validated extinguishing capability.
