Overview
ISO 9248:1992 specifies the units, symbols and tolerances to be used when reporting dimensions, performance and capacities of earth‑moving machinery (as defined in ISO 6165). The standard defines the primary and derived SI units to be applied, gives typical measurement tolerances, and sets basic rules for rounding results. It does not prescribe measurement methods or the instrumentation to be used.
