Overview
ISO/IEC/IEEE 21451-2:2010 specifies a digital smart transducer interface for connecting sensors and actuators to microprocessors. It defines the Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) structure and data formats, an electrical interface, and the read/write logic to access TEDS. The standard describes how a wide variety of transducers can present identification and metadata to a host microprocessor or NCAP (Network Capable Application Processor).
