ISO/TS 12103-3:2023 - Road vehicles - Test contaminants for filter evaluation - Part 3: Soot contaminant specifies a laboratory soot test aerosol intended to simulate the sub‑micron (combustion-derived) fraction of ambient particulate exposure for vehicle air‑filter testing. The technical specification defines required particle size distribution (by number), chemical composition limits and the methods for generating, sampling and characterizing a single grade of soot aerosol used for air‑filter media and element evaluation.
