Overview
ISO/TS 32005:2023 clarifies how the PDF 1.7 and PDF 2.0 standard structure namespaces can be used together in tagged PDF documents. It specifies containment and inclusion requirements that extend - and remain fully compliant with - the structural rules already set out in ISO 32000-2. The Technical Specification removes ambiguity around namespace interaction, role mapping, attributes and parent–child hierarchy rules when both the PDF 1.7 and PDF 2.0 namespaces appear in the same file.
