What is this PAS about? It specifies how to assess the whole life GHG emissions of textile products. Who is this PAS for? It’s intended for international application and use by organizations or individuals assessing the GHG emissions of products manufactured substantially from textiles, such as manufacturers, academic researchers, consultants and others. Why should you use this PAS? PAS 2395 was developed by experts from different regions of the world. It specifies supplementary requirements for the assessment of GHG emissions from the whole life cycle of any products manufactured substantially from textiles, and can be beneficially applied wherever textile products are manufactured and used. When used with the other specified methodologies, it can also deliver credible GHG emissions assessments that are optimized for textiles and textile-based products. Because of the global nature of trade in textile products it’s preferable that the supplementary requirements provided in PAS 2395 are applied wherever assessment of emissions from textile products is made.
