What is PD CEN/TR 14383-7 - Design and management of public transport facilities about?
PD CEN/TR 14383-7 is the seventh part of the PD CEN/TR 14383 multi-series that discusses the prevention of crime through urban planning and building design. PD CEN/TR 14383-7 sets out guidelines for the methods of assessing the exogenous and endogenous risks of crime and/or perceived insecurity and proposes measures designed to preclude or reduce these risks. PD CEN/TR 14383-7 focuses on the security of passenger spaces, in respect also of security aspects. PD CEN/TR 14383-7 applies to existing public transport facilities as well as new public transport facilities. Note: PD CEN/TR 14383-7 does not cover terrorism or the revenue vehicles themselves. It covers the areas that are dedicated to mass transit and open to the public.
