What is PD CEN/TR 16417 - Guidelines for footwear industry about?
PD CEN/TR 16417 is an international standard that focuses on footwear industry guidelines for substances of very high concern. Footwear refers to garments worn on the feet, which typically serves the purpose of protection against adversities of the environment such as wear from ground textures and temperature. PD CEN/TR 16417 is intended to provide information on the chemicals listed in the Candidate List / Annex XIV of the Regulation (EC) 1907/2006, also known as REACH (Regulation, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) and their usage and presence in the footwear industry. Note: PD CEN/TR 16417 does not concern the substances for which restrictions have been already enacted under Annex XVII of REACH.
