What is PD CEN/TS 17413 about?
PD CEN/TS 17413 focuses on models and definitions for alternative modes of operation and services for urban intelligent transport systems. PD CEN/TS 17413 defines new modes in a reference data model, in order to allow integration of these modes into urban multimodal travel services (e.g., trip planning systems). PD CEN/TS 17413 describes an extension of the public transport reference data model, known as Transmodel, which provides definitions and a conceptual data model for the “conventional transport” domain. This provides a clarification as regards the “conventional transport mode” vs. “alternative transport mode” (mentioned as 'new modes' in the title of this specification). PD CEN/TS 17413 distinguishes the following types of 'mode of operation':
