What is ISO/TS 21975 about ?
ISO/TS 21975 is an international standard which discusses about food packaging characteristics and measurement methods for nanotechnologies. ISO/TS 21975 specifies characteristics including carrier properties to be measured of polymeric nanocomposite films used for improving food packaging. The barrier properties cover gas, water vapour transmission and UV-Vis light transparency. Note: ISO/TS 21975 addresses neither safety and health issues related to the food packaging nor-environmental aspects.
