Overview - EN ISO 14451-4:2013 (micro gas generators)
EN ISO 14451-4:2013 (CEN adoption of ISO 14451-4:2013) defines the requirements, test sequence and categorization for micro gas generators used in vehicle pyrotechnic systems. The standard applies to type tests and sets out the acceptance criteria for safety, reliability and performance. It is not applicable to articles containing military explosives or commercial blasting agents, except for black powder or flash composition.
This part of the ISO 14451 series complements other parts (terminology, test methods, igniters) and supports conformity assessment referenced to EU Directive 2007/23/EC via Annex ZA.
