Overview

EN ISO 16859-3:2015 (CEN adoption) defines the method for the calibration of Leeb reference test blocks used in the indirect verification of Leeb hardness testers (per ISO 16859‑2) and for periodic checking (per ISO 16859‑1). The standard also specifies procedures to ensure metrological traceability of the Leeb hardness calibration machine and requirements that support consistent, traceable Leeb hardness measurements on metallic materials.
