EN ISO 18847:2024 - "Solid biofuels - Determination of particle density of pellets and briquettes" (CEN adoption of ISO 18847:2024) defines a standardized laboratory method to determine the particle density of compressed biofuels (pellets and briquettes). The standard specifies the measurement principle, required reagents and apparatus, sample preparation, procedures for pellets and briquettes, calculation, performance criteria and reporting. It replaces EN ISO 18847:2016 and adds more detailed method specifications plus an informative liquid-displacement Annex.
