Overview
EN ISO 24263:2020 - Footwear: Attachment strength of straps, trims and accessories specifies a laboratory method to determine the attachment strength of footwear upper components joined to the sole, and of hooks, eyelets and trims. - Hooks/eyelets: align jaw center with eyelet/hook, pass lace through and load until failure; record maximum force and failure type.

- Results expressed in Newton (N).
- For straps include individual maximum force and strap width; for trims and eyelets report average/maximum values and failure mode (detachment, breakage, sole failure).
