EN ISO 3672-1:2001 (ISO 3672-1:2000) defines a standardized designation system for unsaturated‑polyester resins (UP‑R). It provides a structured code format for unambiguous identification of UP‑R grades used in liquid or solid form. - Governance: New code letters/numbers for data blocks 1–3 must be approved by ISO/TC 61 subcommittees to avoid ambiguity.
- Limitations: The standard does not provide engineering performance data or processing conditions; Part 2 (ISO 3672‑2) covers specimen preparation and property determination.
