Overview

EN ISO 8316:1995 - Measurement of liquid flow in closed conduits by collection in a volumetric tank - specifies a volumetric tank (gauge) method for determining liquid flow-rate in closed conduits. The standard covers apparatus, procedures, calibration (level–volume relationship), calculation of flow-rate and the assessment of measurement uncertainty. It is commonly used as a primary or reference method for calibrating flowmeters and for high-accuracy laboratory and legal‑metrology applications.
