Overview
EN ISO 9969:2016 - Thermoplastics pipes: Determination of ring stiffness (ISO 9969:2016) specifies a laboratory test method for determining the ring stiffness of circular-section thermoplastic pipes. Adopted by CEN as a European Standard, this third edition supersedes EN ISO 9969:2007 and defines the apparatus, test pieces, conditioning, test procedure and calculation required to report ring stiffness values for quality control, type testing and specification compliance.

- Conditioning and temperature: Samples conditioned at test temperature for at least 24 h. Default laboratory temperature: (23 ± 2) °C (27 °C allowed regionally). For type testing or disputes, sample age should be (21 ± 2) days.
- Test report: Requires recorded dimensions, test conditions, force–deflection data and calculated ring stiffness (kN/m).
