Overview
EN ISO 16712:2006 (ISO 16712:2005) is a CEN-adopted international standard for water quality testing that specifies a laboratory method to determine the acute toxicity of marine or estuarine sediments to amphipods. The method covers exposure of sediment-dwelling amphipods to contaminated sediments, sludges or sediments spiked with chemicals, with a biological endpoint based on percent mortality after a 10‑day exposure.
