ISO 4586-8:2018 defines classification and performance specifications for high‑pressure decorative laminates (HPL, HPDL) with alternative core compositions not covered in ISO 4586‑1 to ISO 4586‑7. The standard covers interior-use sheets based on thermosetting resins where the core is either a coloured core (pigmented paper/resin layers) or a metal‑reinforced core (metal layers/meshes combined with impregnated paper).
