Overview
ISO/IEC 18012-2:2012 - Information technology - Home Electronic System (HES) - Part 2: Taxonomy and application interoperability model - provides a standardized taxonomy and an application-level interoperability framework for smart-home and HES devices. The standard defines a common way to describe application objects, events, properties and primitive actions so products from multiple manufacturers can interwork at the application layer (above the OSI stack).
